Seeking a full-time Word Processing/Project Service Center. Must be able to travel to Newark, as needed.


  • Creates and revises complex legal documents, adhering to formatting and departmental best practices
  • Performs advance proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office 2016: including Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint, Litera Change-Pro, Adobe/Nuance, and Outlook.
  • Performs extensive formatting and editing of documents, including advanced features such as table of authority, table of content, cross-referencing, bookmarks, track changes, mail merge, red-line/black line documents, etc.
  • Converts documents from one application to another, including cleaning, formatting and applying styles as needed. Utilizing Innova numbering system.
  • Ability to troubleshoot documents, including corrupt documents and files.
  • Performs transcription either via tape or using software such as BigHand.
  • Provides administrative support (e.g., time entry, copying/printing of documents, messenger services).
  • Creates links from table of contents of PDFs.
  • Creates binders and table of contents
  • Performs document reproduction, printing documents from electronic sources (e.g., email attachments, PDF files, CDs, etc.) and the delivery of same.


  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook) and conversion software.
  • Ability to learn various job-related computer software (e.g., Best Authority, DocXTools, Nuance, Innova numbering system).
  • Knowledge of OCR conversion software (e.g., Nuance / Abby PDF Transformer).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of proofreading techniques.
  • Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs.

The incumbent will be responsible for working with the four main areas of HRPC: Transactions, Data Integrity, Non-Resident Alien, and Operations teams to ensure that current processes are compliant with local, state, and federal guidelines.</p><p>The Manager, of HRPC Initiatives, will leverage existing tools and resources as well as develop and maintain documentation and communications of any process or procedural changes. The types of projects may include documenting system tax setup, formulating and designing internal processing forms, and liaising with external vendors to resolve international tax setup database issues.</p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Work closely with the HRPC Executive Director to clearly define and communicate initiative objectives and success metrics.</p></li><li><p>Develop and update project plans, scope documents, and other project materials on a regular basis.</p></li><li><p>Manage the implementation of changes by maintaining statuses and issues reports, coordinating key messages, and setting business expectations.</p></li><li><p>Establish solid working relationships and routinely interface with the HRPC team and other HR, Benefits, Payroll, and CUIT teams as appropriate.</p></li><li><p>Develop communications for internal and external users; collaborate with the HR Communications team to schedule deployment of email blasts.</p></li><li><p>Assist in maintaining transaction-specific information on the CUHR website; collaborate with the HR Communications team on updates.</p></li><li><p>Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.</p></li></ul><p>Minimum Qualifications</p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree required. A minimum of 4-6 years of related experience, preferably in HRIS and Payroll in Higher Education or complex organizations.</li></ul><p>Preferred Qualifications</p><ul><li><p>Experience with Thomson Reuters Tax Navigator product preferred.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated excellence in various competencies including teamwork, analytical thinking, and client/customer awareness.</p></li></ul><p>Other Requirements</p><ul><li><p>Experience with PeopleSoft 9.2 PS Query required.</p></li><li><p>Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions from groups of managers and effectively present information to top management.</p></li><li><p>Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.</p></li><li><p>Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.</p></li><li><p>Ability to balance workload under deadlines with changing priorities in a dynamic and evolving organization required.</p></li><li><p>Comfortable with learning and embracing new technology.</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, required. Excellent writing and editing skills are required.
