Who You Are and What You'll Do:
You are passionate about life sciences and making a difference to cancer patients, their families, and healthcare providers. You will be responsible for leading design and engineering efforts to generate novel PROBODY protein therapeutics and supporting their development. You will help develop a team to creatively build and expand CytomX's platform and core technologies. The successful candidate will work as a TEMP for up to 12 months in the Structural Biology team and lead projects to elucidate structures of PROBODY proteins.
Job Responsibilities:
Represent Protein Engineering function on project teams (internal and partnered) and lead engineering efforts to design and optimize PROBODY protein therapeutic candidates derived from antibodies, bispecific proteins, and cytokines
Creatively lead development and expansion of CytomX platform technology in the conditionally-activated therapeutic space
Champion structural projects in the Structural Biology team
Mentor 1-2 research associates
Minimum Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
Must have a solid command of current DNA cloning and molecular biology techniques (qPCR, RT-PCR)
Must have hands-on X-ray crystallography experience; experience in NMR, EM, or cryoEM is desirable
Must have experience in developing and using ELISAs to study molecular interactions
Experience with FACS, bacterial/phage library screening, and next-generation sequence methods is highly desired
