Who You Are and What You'll Do:

You are passionate about life sciences and making a difference to cancer patients, their families, and healthcare providers. You will participate in the expression and purification of protein reagents to support all discovery and development programs at CytomX. The successful candidate will work as a TEMP for up to 6 months in the Protein Sciences department.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct QC testing of DNAs that goes into transfection.

• Support the protein production by small- and large-scale transient transfection of CHO/293 cells.

• Develop strategies to improve the protein expression process for PROBODY Therapeutics, bispecific molecules, and cytokines.

• Support the small-scale purification of PROBODY Therapeutics, bispecific molecules, and cytokines.

• Express PROBODY Therapeutics, various bispecific molecules, and cytokines with fed batch cultures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS in Biochemistry or related discipline with 6+ years of experience in the biotechnology or MS in Biochemistry with 4+ years of experience in the biotechnology or biopharma industry.

• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell cultures and aseptic techniques is required.

• Prior experience in transient transfection process of CHO/293 cells is required.

• Experience with Vi-CELL and OCTET is required.

• Experience in protein characterization assays such as concentration, endotoxin measurement, SDS-PAGE and SEC-HPLC is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in protein purification using Tecan liquid handler system and AKTA systems is preferred.

• Experience in antibodies and other protein purification techniques is preferred.

• The expected salary range for this role based on the primary location for this position in California is starting at $50.00 per hour. Offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
