Job Responsibilities
The tutor is primarily responsible for encouraging self-directed learning and development in each student. To do this, a tutor assists students with their coursework.
This may require the tutor to help clarify a concept or give a clear explanation of an English assignment. The tutor is not expected to know how to answer every possible question, but rather to work to ensure that the student develops a firm foundation to take learning to the next level. Additional tasks may also be assigned by the director.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Degreed tutors (Bachelor's to master's) need to present a list of references, and a current resume as well as any relevant tutorial experience
Preferred Qualifications
Tutors must also be willing to submit to a background check. The ability to relate well to people, to self-start and to adjust easily to a variety of learning styles is beneficial.
Additional Comments
Hours are flexible; We are seeking both Day and Evening English tutors between the hours of 8am
8pm Monday
Thursday.
