What You Will Do:

As our Helpdesk Support Technician, you will support our onsite employees to make sure that they can use their technology easily and efficiently.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build, stage, and deploy new and upgraded technology including complex windows-based desktops and laptops.

  • Respond to incoming helpdesk requests from our helpdesk application, telephone, walk-up or email systems.

  • Diagnose and resolve issues identifying and/or analyzing hardware, software, and system issues.

  • Install, configure, and upgrade desktop and enterprise software, creating and updating documentation as needed.

  • Record, track and document the helpdesk problem solving process.

  • Make sure that desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems, including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, application servers, and administrative systems.

  • Follow up to resolve OS problems and provide direct user support for all of our team members by responding to inquiries, troubleshooting and solving problems for all supported hardware and software.

  • Escalate problems to the appropriately experienced team member.

  • Partner with your team to make sure that our employees receive timely, top-quality support.

  • Influence users regarding current and potential IT issues. Research and analyze the effect and results of IT problems.

Education

  • Desired: bachelor's degree in computer technology, IS operations or related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience with business operations or desktop services OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Specialized Skills and Abilities:

  • High level of computer literacy with PC operating systems, printers, peripherals, spreadsheets, word processing and database software.

  • Expertise with Microsoft operating systems.

  • Ability to communicate clearly in English.

  • A strong customer service focus, patience and the ability to explain IT concepts in layman's terms.

Salary Range: Please note the typical hiring range is $25.00 - $30.00 Hourly . Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
