Job Summary:

THIS TEMPORARY POSITION

Job Summary:

This position is within the External Affairs office at OSU Center for Health Sciences and reports directly to the Event Coordinator. This position assists the Event Coordinator as needed with meeting with event clients, setup and day of event needs.

Responsibilities:

Assist in planning and executing events for OSU Center for Health Sciences. This includes but is not limited to various event rentals and campus-wide events.

Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth event operations both prior and day of event.

Provide excellent customer service to event attendees.

Handle event-related inquiries and address any issues as arise.

Help with event setup by arranging tables and chairs as needed; working with IT; and other needs that may arise.

Ability to lift and carry 8-10 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Position Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED

Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge:

  • Customer service skills are required

  • Hospitality management skills are encouraged

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to handle multiple events
