A Teller manages a fund of cash and provides excellent customer service to customers while performing a variety of transactions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Services customers by processing all monetary transactions.
Ability to utilize technology such as Teller Scanning Equipment, Cash Recycling and Cash Dispensing machines and assist customers in the use of Coin Machines.
Adhere to the VNB Code of Conduct and Service Quality Standards.
Performs duties related to balancing individual cash and end of day proof. Performs office work as necessary or assigned.
Identifies cross-sell opportunities and makes referrals to platform staff.
Follows bank established guidelines regarding customer service and delivers excellent customer service in accordance with Valley's mission statement.
Maintains compliance with Bank's established dress code.
Assists in community events.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Detail oriented and organized.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
Basic PC skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of one year consecutive cash handling experience.
College Degree preferred.
Banking Experience preferred.
