Position is full time and requires flexibility Monday through Friday from 8 am to 6 pm and rotating Saturdays from 9 am to 12 pm.

Incumbent will float to branches in the Little Rock Metro area based on coverage needs.

SUMMARY: Under the supervision and guidance of the assigned manager the Teller accepts and processes transactions from the bank's customers by personal contact, mail, and night deposit. The incumbent identifies customer needs and refers them to product specialists. The Teller gains knowledge of other areas in the bank and by cross-training to provide an expected level of exceptional customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Contribute to achievement of branch sales goals by engaging customers in discovery conversations to determine their product needs and referring customers to the appropriate product specialists.

  • Deliver consistent exceptional customer service by displaying sincere, outgoing, and aggressive friendliness. Smiling, acknowledging every customer, introducing yourself, making eye contact, and thanking the customer are all examples.

  • Accurately accept and process customer teller transactions. Adhere to bank policies and procedures, including customer identification program.

  • Cash checks and withdrawals up to authorized limits; request authorization for transactions above assigned limits. Process branch and/or teller capture.

  • Prepare daily settlements of teller cash and proof transactions.

  • Using customer focused skills, explain policies and procedures to customers as applicable.

  • Balance cash drawer to transactions daily.

  • May open new accounts if successfully completed FSR training.

  • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

Safeguard bank assets assigned to them. Contribute to the growth of the bank by promoting and cross selling bank products and services. Position involves floating, or traveling, to different branch locations as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Assists with balancing Vault, ATM, Night Drop, Coin Machine as assigned. 2. Assists with proper scanning of bank documents and proof work. 3. Exercise judgment when applying holds and making check cashing decisions. 4. Cross train to be available to open basic new consumer accounts. 5. Adheres to work schedule. Must be flexible in availability for work schedule. 6. Maintains positive, friendly and professional attitude and appearance. 7. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned. 8. Lift coin bags up to 50 lbs. 9. Receives, pays out cash, handles negotiable items, loan payments, deposits, withdrawals and transfers. 10. Sets up, closes and balances teller station. 11. Records sales of monetary instruments. 12. Assists customers with inquiries in person or by telephone. 13. Maintains neat and well stocked teller area. 14. Cross sells bank products and services. 15. Follows limits established for protection of customer accounts and bank safety and soundness. 16. Adheres to bank policies and procedures. 17. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. 18. Completes required BSA/AML and other required compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed as needed. 19. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. Equivalent to four years high school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others, plus 0 to 6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers. Ability to perform these mathematical skills using money and other forms of measurement. CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS Ability to use common sense understanding in order to carry out simple multi-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with limited variables.
