Teller II

Is able to complete complex customer transactions, balancing cash, and meeting customer needs. Performs teller duties. Keeps informed of changes in bank services and procedures. Maintains proper cash limits for the branch while staying within set guidelines. Provides customer service which could include the opening of new accounts, researching and resolving problems, responding to customer inquiries on accounts. Cross sells other bank services and keeps informed of changes in bank services and procedures. Promotes the bank through community involvement.

Specific Job Functions as a Teller II:

• Adhere to appropriate audit controls and procedures.

• Provides on-the-job training for tellers on an as-needed basis. Mentors tellers to ensure compliance with financial institution procedures and policies.

• Assists Head Teller in locating cash discrepancies, managing unusual window transactions, and answers difficult customer questions. Assists in the resolution of particularly sensitive or complex problems.

• Controls access to safety deposit boxes and maintaining records.

• Performs a variety of customer service transactions, such as holds, stop payment orders and check verification.

• Processes and assists teller with completing CTR's and SAR's properly and promptly, as needed.

• Maintains reports documenting teller outages, balances, time cards, etc. in the absence of the Head Teller

• Introduces and cross-sells new services to customers as appropriate.

• Practice Sales and Service Performance Standards.

• Is responsible for the vault cash on an as needed basis, including Fed orders and shipments.

• Performs all normal teller duties on a daily basis.

• Responsible for being compliant with all regulations and compliance requirements pertaining to job function.

• Perform duties of Personal Banker, as needed.

• Responsible for being compliant with all regulations and compliance requirements pertaining to job function.

• Carries out other duties as may be assigned or requested.

Specific Job Functions as a Personal Banker (as needed):

• Profile customers in order to make informed recommendations and cross sell appropriate products.

• Assists customers with all aspects of opening and maintaining checking, savings and certificate of deposit accounts, and provides other customer services as needed. Obtains all of the required customer information per policy when opening accounts.

• Practice Sales and Service Performance Standards.

• Maintains current knowledge of all bank products and services and assists customers in choosing the appropriate account or product to best meet their financial needs.

• Prepares and inputs data required to open new accounts, which will produce the required documents, signature card, etc.

• Obtains information and completes form to initiate outgoing wire transfers.

• Maintains positive customer relations while handling or assisting customers with account inquiries, statement or bookkeeping issues, service charge questions, and other problems.

• Responds to customer and employee requests and questions in an accurate, timely and professional manner.

• Opens and closes IRAs, keeps up with IRA regulations, and required documents.

• Assist tellers when situations and circumstances warrant.

• Rents safety deposit boxes. Interviews customers to obtain necessary information, prepares lease agreement, issues keys, and explains the rights and privileges to the safe deposit box.

• Responsible for being compliant with all regulations and compliance requirements pertaining to job function.

• Stay current with compliance requirements.

• Promote the bank through community involvement.

• Carries out other duties as may be assigned or requested.
