Hours/Week: 30 hours Location: US:PA:Scranton
A Teller 1 works under general supervision performing a variety of duties, as a member of a team, to provide quality customer services. These duties include receiving, paying, keeping accurate records of all monies involved in these transactions, actively listening for customer needs and referring customers to appropriate products based on needs.
Ideal candidate with prior cash handling or customer service skills is preferred but not required.
Education and training:
Good communication skills
Attention to detail
Basic math and computer skills
Provide prompt, comprehensive and effective customer service
Deliver accurate processing of basic bank transactions while following proper procedures to minimize errors and reduce fraud
Assist customers with general account maintenance inquiries
Promote bank products and services, follow up on opportunities to expand customer relationships, and refer customers to appropriate contacts (e.g. Sales Representatives, Financial Service Representatives, Lenders, etc.)
Prepare individual daily settlements of teller cash and proof operations; report any discrepancies to appropriate supervisor
Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures and internal controls, and meet all job-specific requirements in a timely fashion
Perform other related duties as assigned or directed
As an integral member of the Branch Department, this position is also responsible to provide assistance wherever necessary to help the Branch Department and the Bank in achieving their annual goals.
