Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coach and motivate agents to achieve or exceed sales targets with a focus on quality and compliance

  • Supervise the daily activities of the team by reviewing and analyzing calls/reports, assessing areas of opportunity, managing work assignments and assuring agents are providing a positive consumer experience

  • Develop staff by providing one-on-one coaching, conducting role plays and team meetings. Partner to deliver training and other opportunities of professional development for agents

  • Partner with peer leaders to build and maintain a positive culture within the organization. Provide and receive constructive feedback from/to peer leadership team

  • Coordinate department activities to ensure agents can sell with accuracy and efficiency

  • Partner with other leaders in the organization to evaluate, coordinate and communicate changes with your team

  • Responsible for daily operation of your team

  • Identify compliance and quality improvements and initiate corrective actions

  • Partner on projects related to systems, processes or inter-department initiatives

  • Participate in staff recruiting, selection, orientation and training

  • Identify issues, training needs and develop and maintain processes within the department

  • Perform other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the company and department

  • This function includes Direct Sales positions used in Medicare & Retirement that are in Sales Band

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • 3 years of experience in a Sales, Call Center or Production environment

  • 1 year of sales management or acting team lead

  • Project Management experience - such as identification of resources, development and communication of objectives, successful implementation of schedules and timelines, meeting leadership and project status reporting, and review and follow up with project results

  • Microsoft Office applications experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)

  • Sales License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

And you'll do your life's best work.(sm) As a member of the national Medicare Stars Member Strategy team, this individual will be accountable for improvement of Star measures related to the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) health plan survey. Working with partners across the company, this individual will define and drive strategies and programs to improve quality performance in areas such as member experience and network performance. This position interfaces with all levels of leadership and requires varying levels of communication skills for conveying analysis outcomes and recommendations. The position requires someone who can drill into the details to begin to resolve challenging health care problems. The individual will also be responsible for quality reporting, analysis and audits, and for developing plans and programs to support continuous quality improvement. Primary Responsibilities: * Define and lead programs that support CAHPS measure improvement, including new and innovative solutions to achieve 4 Star performance * Partner with data and analytics teams to identify opportunities and monitor performance * Define national best practices, and work with regional/contract-level partners to adapt as needed * Understand/use all reports and tools that support the national CAHPS program; develop new reports/tools if needed * Communicate and present findings, orally and visually in a way that can be easily understood by business counterparts * Build trust and form effective relationships with stakeholders by working collaboratively, providing timely performance updates, partnering on issue resolution/mitigation strategies, and monitoring resolution of identified issues to conclusion * Demonstrate adaptability in a highly changing environment, quickly shifting focus as priorities change You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: * BA / BS Required or Equivalent Experience * 5 years work experience which includes experience in cross-functional business areas such as, strategic planning, member engagement or quality improvement * 3 years Previous experience with Medicare and CAHPS, HOS and STARS * Advanced Microsoft Office Skills with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications: * Critical thinker- this position will need to evaluate merits of new and innovative ideas and make sound decisions * Strong communicator - this role will need to be comfortable presenting program objectives, process, and performance in multiple setting * Self-motivated and demonstrates an innate ability to absorb new concepts, technical frameworks, program paradigms while employing them creatively to solve complex analytical problems * Strong relationship building skills with internal and practice teams to drive goal alignment * Strong presentation skills both written and verbal Careers at UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement.
