We are looking for a Telepresence Product Manager! This professional is located in NY or for the right candidate, we will consider a telecommute opportunity. We are growing and currently expanding our global footprint for Telepresence services with the primary objectives to increase productivity and reduce travel costs. This an individual contributor role, partnering with others and leading the initiative within the project scope in a matrixed environment. Flexibility with onsite activity exists as this is a high travel role- expected between 40 and 60%.
Collect business requirements and document business needs with responsible from other Wolters Kluwer business units and technology professionals in a matrix organization
Assist in the development of roadmaps, proposals and business cases and presentations to key stakeholders
Deploy globally videoconferencing/telepresence solutions, ensuring each deployment follows a standard approach by which network is upgraded/remediated as needed, communication plans are executed, in-room experience after deployment is excellent and user training takes place
Manage various vendors for both deployment and operations of unified communication solutions
Define and deploy standard processes and documentation for telepresence operations, specifically processes around video endpoints device maintenance and video bridge license management
Ensure excellent operations and support SLAs for the already deployed videoconferencing/ telepresence solutions by leading and collaborating in a matrix operational environment with other Global Business Services department (Business Relationship Managers, End User Management, Network, Communications and Finance)
Evaluate emerging technologies, market research and run Proof of Concepts involving various Global Business Services departments to recommend potential new technologies and solutions for videoconferencing which Wolters Kluwer business units can leverage on a global scale
Drive adoption of global videoconferencing/telepresence standard by championing the standards defined, bee seen as the go-to expert in videoconferencing solutions and by driving change in all Business Units
Contribute to GBS marketing and the communication of the videoconferencing /telepresence value proposition
Manage and facilitate ad-hoc senior executive needs for videoconferencing and telepresence such as large events
Diagnose and resolve issues by engaging other Global Business Service departments in a timely fashion
Monitor metrics around utilization, capacity and user experience of deployed videoconferencing/telepresence solutions and recommend changes for improvement
Work within established configuration and change management framework to ensure awareness, approval, and implementation of changes for deployments and issues resolution
Strongly prefer Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Deep experience with deploying globally Unified Communications solutions with preference for:
CISCO and Microsoft videoconferencing and telepresence solutions leveraging on cloud technology (Acano technology, Webex/Spark, Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams)
Microsoft and CISCO audio and web conferencing solutions, and SIP
Deep experience with global end-to-end deployments for videoconferencing/telepresence solutions from network assessments, to actual installments, communication plans, to user training and user satisfaction
Deep experience in many of the following areas; operational excellence, user experience, business case and marketing for deployments in unified communications
Knowledge of technology domain areas: Internet connectivity, Network security, MPLS network, QoS, VoIP, SIP, and firewalls
Knowledge with ServiceNow ITSM for L1 and L2 support processes
Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead towards successful implementation and resolution in a matrix organization
Strong experience in managing vendors within unified communications space
Entrepreneurial drive, demonstrated by ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high expectations and little oversight
Effective in a small team where role includes both strategic and hands-on responsibilities
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate and interact with upper management
Proficient with Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Minimum 8+ Years of experience required
Ability to travel up to 60%
Fluent English required
