Telepresence Engineer: The Telepresence Engineer provides Tier III support of Unified Collaboration (UC) and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems; conducts maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure availability and reliability of services.

Provides support to Tier 2 Bridging. The successful candidate should be able to clearly follow architecture, system, and network requirements (hardware and software), as well as support planning and architecture development. An understanding of the technical aspects of the specific Cisco Telepresence solution's as well as other solutions' systems and networks vulnerabilities in order to provide oversight of design activities and technical advice for post-implementation sustaining support.

Required: Strong understanding of Cisco Telepresence solutions, other Unified Communications solutions and IP networking, including familiarity with the functionality, operating, and failure modes of common networking devices, and the ability to analyze network behavior, and performance and application issues related to voice and video communications ie. Multipoint Control Unit (MCU), Telepresence Management Suite (TMS), CODEC endpoints. Troubleshoot / determine root cause of equipment failures, and replace equipment where necessary. Apply and keep updated all applicable DISA Standard Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Understanding of network hardware and software needs. Experience using enterprise management tools; trouble tickets, work orders, change controls, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service skills with the ability to multi-task. Must be highly professional and possess soft skills necessary to be successful in a high pressure environment. Occasional overtime is required for system maintenance.
3 or more years of VTC/UC experience. Security+ CE certification. Certification: Cisco Video Network Specialist, or Polycom Certified VTC Engineer, or CCNA.

Candidate must possess an Active Secret Security Clearance.

Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline from an ABET accredited university and 14 years of Engineering experience in an aerospace/defense environment OR * Master's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline from an ABET accredited university and 12 years of Engineering experience in an aerospace/defense environment OR * PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline from an ABET accredited university and 9 years of Engineering experience in an aerospace/defense environment * Active DoD Top Secret security clearance * Knowledge and experience performing requirements analysis, allocation, flow down, requirement capability assessment, and verification planning, using DOORS 9.X * Knowledge and experience with DoD and AF Nuclear Surety and Cybersecurity policy, processes, requirements and certification (e.g. NIST SP 800-53 cybersecurity controls to identify synergies and conflicts with Nuclear Surety, and thorough working knowledge of AFI 91 series, AFI 63-125, AFMAN 91-118 and 119, and DoDD 3150.2) * Experience with DoD 5000.02 program milestones such as SRR, PDR, CDR, SVR, FCA and PCA Preferred Qualifications: * MS in Systems Engineering and/or Systems Engineering Certification * Active SCI clearance * Familiarity with GBSD and/or the Legacy ICBM system * Experience performing compliance documentation requirements identification, program applicability assessments, and derivation of requirements * Project/technical management experience to include technical direction, Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development/execution, cost account management, and project planning * Track record of mentoring junior personnel to develop their skill sets and prepare them for increasing responsibilities * Strong leadership qualities and verbal and written communication skills required to work closely with teammates, stakeholders (Air Force Safety Center, Nuclear Weapons Center, National Security Agency, etc.) and customers * Knowledge and experience with Systems Engineering process and procedures using the latest Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes and tools, including architecture modeling tools such as No Magic Cameo Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
