What you will be doing!
Independent Software is seeking a mid-level telephony engineer to provide overall system administration for an enterprise wide Cisco Unified Communications Manager and related systems; plan regular maintenance tasks including updates and upgrades; maintain current and accurate documentation of system configurations; design, administer, and analyze corporate dial plans and traffic routes for voice network structure; administer and monitor voice systems for performance and Service-Level Agreement (SLA) attainment; provide support as needed to lower tier break/fix resolution and move/add/change/deactivation requests for all telecommunications systems.
At least seven (7) years of information technology experience
Expertise in installing, repairing and troubleshooting computer hardware and peripherals
Well-versed in installing windows, software, applications, antivirus and patches
Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics
Expertise in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Able to manage time and priorities effectively
Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
Proficient in providing remote end-user support
Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows 10
Familiar with Active Directory security and policies
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Must be able to drive a company vehicle
Must be available to work an eight (8) hour shift between the hours of 6am and 6pm, as determined by management. The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; periodic work in tight areas.
Education: A high school diploma or GED is a requirement for this position. However, an Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or similar technical major will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of experience in meeting the General Requirement of seven (7) years of experience in information technology; or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or similar technical major will be considered equivalent to four (4) years of experience in meeting the General Requirement of seven (7) years of experience in information technology.
Clearance: THIS POSITION REQUIRES A CURRENT TS/SCI WITH POLYGRAPH CLEARANCE!!!
