Paging an in house pager(Calling Codes)
Paging overhead ,Placing a caller on hold
Maintaining and respecting confidentiality of patients and facility
Updating all PBX directories with the most current and accurate information
Assisting registration when needed.
Adheres to all other duties as assigned by Patient Access Supervisor and Director
Able to accurately communicate and demonstrate AIDET with all patients
Able to answer the telephone in a prompt and courteous manner stating the name of the department, your name and " How may I help you"
Good Telephone public relations and communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and non- verbally.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact diplomatically and to maintain a professional demeanor with physicians, the public and hospital staff at all times.
