The Phone Operator will be responsible answering multi-line phone system along with the following tasks:

  • Schedule all follow-up appointments
  • Create all new patient accounts
  • Retrieve any medical records needed for patient appointments
  • Schedule new patient appointments
  • Schedule new patient referrals within 48 hours
  • Take complete patient messages for RX renewals
  • Take detailed patient messages for the nurse to triage
  • Scanning records into EMR
  • Completion of medical record requests
  • Schedule all hospital follow-up appointments requested by Physician
  • Transfer calls when necessary to appropriate staff members and providers.

This phone operator will work closely with both the doctors and mid-levels to reflect great customer service/patient care along with making sure the daily clerical operations are being completed accurately. With accurate daily operations, this will allow this extremely busy practice to increase productivity and stream office workflow.
