Texoma Medical Center, a 378-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. POSITION SUMMARY:Responds to incoming calls in a timely manner, directs callers to appropriate line demonstrating smooth, clear, and courteous professional communication practices. Position is also responsible for handling codes in a calm, prompt and accurate manner.

Requires the ability to fluently speak and understand English. Must have the ability to perform calmly, competently and quickly in emergency situations. Must have basic keyboard/computer skills, hospital experience preferred.

Requires at least 1 year of PBX or customer service experience requiring extensive phone work.

Job Summary Interacts with members of the Die Cast Department (machine operators, leads, and supervisor), Quality Control (inspectors, leads and supervisor), and members of the Maintenance Department, crib attendants, supervisors, metallurgical engineers and managers. This position is responsible for the operating Kemp alloying furnaces, monitoring the melting process and delivering molten metal to the die casting machines by means of a fork lift operated power ladle. Primary Duties & Responsibilities * (30%) Fills power ladle from alloying furnace by means of air operated pump. * (20%) Monitors robotic ingot caster and delivers skids of Zamak bars to die cast machines that are required to be bar fed. * (10%) Unloads trucks from outside supplier's containing zinc jumbos, aluminum ingots and magnesium chunks. * (10%) Brings zinc, aluminum and magnesium in from the receiving area and store in the furnace room. * (5%) Pours metal in all machines that are not bar fed. Uses fork lift containing power ladle to proceed down aisle between die casting machines and fill holding pots as needed. This power ladle is actuated from controls at drive position on the fork lift. * (5%) Picks up slag barrels, dross patties, and other zamak scrap. Uses remelt furnace to recycle scrap zamak so that scrap zamak does not accumulate in the department. * (5%) Assures that moltent metal in the power ladle remains at the proper temperature by inserting a torch in power ladle after parking forklift. * (5%) Assures that mixers in remelt furnaces are kept free from debris and are operational at all times. * (5%) Makes appropriate adjustments to maintain the required melting temperature as specified in engineering documents. * (5%) Ensures safety measures such as wearing protective clothing and glasses and reports any unsafe working conditions. Education and Experience Profile * High School diploma or equivalent. Required Skills * Understanding of the operation and control of the alloying furnace and forklift controls used for the power ladle is essential. * Able to self-schedule his/her activities to assure all die cast machines have uninterrupted availability of zamak. * Able to effectively measure flux and evaluate the condition of the zamak in the melting furnaces to assure minimum material loss in dross * Able to work well under pressure * Certified (or able to become certified) as a forklift operator.
