Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient. Promotes the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. What You Bring/Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact

  • Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RN's

  • BLS from the American Heart Association required

  • One year experience preferred

  • Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty

  • ACLS Upon Hire for experienced RN's or within 6 months for RN's without telemetry or critical care experience

  • Telemetry or similar experience preferred

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Summary - Travel RN - Medical Surgical - Longs Peak Hospital, Longmont, CO Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. * Med, Surg, Peds, Cards * Travel RN for our Medical Surgical Unit * Nights shifts * Inpatient Hospital Medical Surgical direct care RN experience * BLS ACLS preferred * Telemetry experience Med/Surg Experience with BLS. ACLS preferred. Optional Pediatric and/or telemetry experience, not a must but a huge positive. Cardiac direct care patient experience required As a UCHealth RN Traveler, you will enjoy living and working in one of the most naturally beautiful states in the country. Job Duties * · Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. * · Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. * · Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. * · Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires. Requirements * Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse Program if less than three (3) years' experience. * 6 months nursing experience (in an acute setting) * State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and any relevant unit specific certification requirement. * BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.) Preferred Qualifications * · Bachelor's Degree in Nursing * · Experience in a teaching/academic hospital * · Two years traveling experience Due to Point of Care Testing duties associated with this position, upon hire, a copy of highest level of education (diploma, degree, or transcripts) would be required to present to the hiring manager.
