Job Description Summary
Under indirect supervision, the Telehealth Digital Navigator provides direct patient digital and health literacy support, assists to build digital and health literacy training and education materials, and works with statewide partners to improve digital literacy, and broadband and connectivity access through the South Carolina Telehealth Alliance (SCTA). The role will work directly with MUHA patients identified to have digital and/or health literacy challenges to assess their needs and ensure they are empowered and prepared for their telehealth experience. The Digital Navigator will collaborate on the creation and dissemination of culturally and linguistically appropriate digital and health literacy education and training materials.
The Telehealth Digital Navigator will be plugged into state, federal, philanthropic and nonprofit resources to assist patients with broadband and connectivity, digital and health literacy, and other socioeconomic needs to be able to assist patients to access these services. Finally, they will play a role in ensuring that telehealth processes are culturally and linguistically appropriate, with an eye toward digital and health equity.
