This Marketing Business Architecture team works with IT and Operations Business Architects to identify and define enterprise capabilities, build out a long-term Business Architecture Framework, and shape initiatives for prioritization through the application of Business Architecture. Although this role resides in Marketing, candidates with non-Marketing backgrounds will be considered. Under minimal supervision, develops and executes strategy for one or more marketing initiatives. Resolves problems and makes recommendations related to complex and interrelated matters and projects. Provides specialist-level analysis in several marketing disciplines and/or expert-level in one or more. Recommends project budgets and forecasts anticipated budget spending. Coaches others in less senior positions. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree/equivalent in Marketing, Finance, Computer Science or related business discipline. * Five (5) years experience in marketing, advertising, sales administration, or related discipline. * Knowledge of the broad application of advanced principles, theories, concepts and techniques in marketing disciplines, project management and information analysis. * Strong human relations and communication/presentation skills. * Advanced organizational, quantitative and analytical skills, including experience in database marketing. * Experience leading complex initiatives in a corporate environment. * Customer-focused orientation. The successful candidate for Advisor will be a key contributor to the team and the Business Architecture Community of Practice. In this role, they will: Contribute to the development of the Business Architecture Body of Knowledge at FedEx through collaboration in the Architecture Agile Release Train and other working forums Analyze the impacts to enterprise business capabilities across multiple initiatives using Business Architecture principles, and synthesize the findings to inform prioritization and direction Provide Business Architecture leadership for identifying opportunities to support business value delivery through the improvement and/or development of business capabilities Provide Business Architecture support for the design of strategic initiatives and programs to shape concepts and develop roadmaps Define and act as the leaders of the Business Architecture Community by ensuring clearly defined business processes, useful artifacts/documents, and effective consultation to be used to inform the business, drive change and enhance the quality of inputs and outputs across strategic initiatives The role of Business Architect is an excellent fit for candidates who demonstrate strong system and capability thinking, have a customer focus, and are comfortable with moving abstract concepts into action. Desirable skills include: * Strong business acumen; makes sound decisions based on customer, market and the business (at the enterprise level) * Broad understanding of FedEx product & services portfolio (across OpCos and regions) * Able to synthesize information from a broad range of sources and develop clear recommendations * Experience with product development processes * Business modeling, customer experience modeling and/or use case development * Able to translate business requests into capabilities; breaks down initiatives into core services * Able to create a vision and an actionable plan to execute over time (road map, backlog and iterative plans) * Project management * Takes a strong position in support of his/her capability, but looks for opportunities to drive mutual benefit between IT and business partners * Clear communication of complex ideas and ability to build consensus across multiple stakeholders * Preferred experience with Agile development techniques.
