VIEW JOBS 4/20/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-07-19T00:00 Summary The incumbent will serve as the liaison between Radiology, OI&T, Biomedical Engineering, and Clinical Informatics employees and clinical users to ensure that PACS is configured to optimize Radiology and clinical operations as well as network capabilities. The incumbent provides guidance, instruction maintenance and troubleshooting in, the daily operations of the Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS). Voice Recognition System (VR), PowerScribe recognition dictation system, as well as the radiology package in Vista (ADPAC). The incumbent serves as a specialist providing support in the operation and management of digital imaging acquisition, processing display and storage, and in database management. The incumbent works with other Services and users of digital radiographic images and throughout John D. Dingell VAMC (JDDVAMC) to include other facilities throughout VISN 10. Works under the direction of the ACOS, Clinical Informatics, Chief Technologist and closely coordinates work with Radiology Management, Radiology ADPAC Coordinator, OI&T, Information Security Officer (ISO) and Biomedical Engineering personnel. Also coordinates work with other Services and users of digital radiographic images throughout JDDVAMC. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Preferred Experience: * Experience overseeing a Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS). * Experience overseeing a voice recognitions system (PowerScribe 360). * Experience overseeing with Radiology Information Systems (RIS). * Experience overseeing the interfacing of PACS with hospital-wide electronic medical systems (EMR). * Experience overseeing the infacing of Powerscribe 360, or its equivalent, with hospital-wide electronic medical systems (EMR). * Experience overseeing the interfacing of RIS with hospital-wide electronic medical systems (EMR). * Experience developing and maintaining a QC program for digital images to include evaluation of image quality from modality to viewing monitor. * Experience working in a Radiology Department and coordinating all its digital imaging needs. * Experience working in a Radiology Department and projecting its future digital imaging needs. The incumbent may be exposed to walking to outlying areas and carrying of instruments and equipment of 10-20 pounds for short distances or by pushing via equipment cart.
