Dewberry's Design-Build Group is seeking a Telecommunications Construction Manager for our Richmond, VA office. This position includes managing installation of Small Cell Rooftop and Utility/Light Pole Sites as well as DAS facilities in public venues. Project locations will vary, but initially includes projects throughout Richmond and Newport News, VA. Ability to coordinate with subcontractors, RF engineering, engineering, and client network operations teams is essential.

Responsibilities

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting on price proposals; assisting in the qualification of and coordinating the activities of Dewberry construction subcontractors; managing the schedules for construction activities; inspecting the quality of construction of internal and external work to meet or exceed customer requirements; managing job site safety and safety practices to meet OSHA, federal, state, local and Dewberry safety requirements; managing and monitoring project schedules. Ability to manage projects independently, prioritize work assignments, be responsive, and multi-task are a must for the successful candidate in this fast paced environment.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • BS in Construction Management Program, or equivalent work experience preferred.

  • 2 4 years' experience with expanded levels of responsibility.

  • Experience managing construction associated with distributed antenna systems, macro sites, fiber installation, small cell systems, wireless macro site upgrades preferred.

  • Experience managing Verizon and AT&T installations a plus.

  • OSHA -10 hour course training preferred.

Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.

Example of Duties The City of Richmond Department of Public Utilities, Gas Distribution Division seeks to fill a Construction Inspector, Senior - Paving position. The Construction Inspector, Senior - Paving is responsible for all assigned restoration projects for the repair and replacement of asphalt, concrete, brick, cobblestone, topsoil, and grass seed. Duties include, but are not limited to: * Ensuring all City of Richmond, Department of Public Works, Department of Public Utilities, State and Counties' Right-Of-Way Excavation and Restoration standards are strictly adhered to; * Coordinating contract administration issues and fiscal management responsibilities to include scheduling, cost control accounting, site communications, and project correspondence for multiple projects; * Inspecting work sites for safety compliance in accordance with OSHA, DOT, and VDOT traffic safety standards and guidelines; * Investigating citizen complaints and initiates corrective action when necessary.
