Telecom Microwave Tower Technician/Foreman

We recruit on behalf of the nation’s leading independent service provider for critical telecommunication and renewable energy infrastructure. The Microwave Tower Foreman is responsible for supervising the operations and maintenance of cell sites. The foreman will need to be able to lead an experienced tower technician crew and train new technicians while maintaining a safe, productive job site. This key role utilizes construction and project management skills to deliver high-quality projects on time, within budget, with unwavering professionalism and strict adherence to our safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the tower crew in execution of the daily safety and work plan in keeping with supervisor direction
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot microwave radio systems and other RF equipment on towers.
• Installation: Install antennas, carriers, transmission lines, and other equipment
• Maintenance: Perform grounding and electrical tasks, and troubleshoot issues
• Safety: Ensure safe rigging, hoisting, and landing, and follow applicable policies and standards
• Other: Assist with project budgeting and scheduling, and keep their team lead informed of maintenance issues
• Working with a crew and responding to service calls promptly

Experience/Abilities

• Previous Tower Tech III or Tower Foreman experience is highly preferred
• Climbing Safety & Rescue Certification.
• Knowledge of relevant electronic, mechanical, and electrical components
• Working knowledge of cell site service monitors, RF test equipment, Fiber, and PIM equipment
• High level of organization and scheduling abilities
• Effective interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
