The Telecommunications Engineer's responsibility is to plan, develop, and configure the Company's telecommunications infrastructure. This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all Unified Communications systems and telecommunications services.
Manage and administer telecommunications infrastructure and associated software, including Cisco Unified Communications, voicemail, SIP trunks, CUBE, voice gateways, and video conferencing systems.
Monitor and identify capacity and performance issues for telecommunications traffic to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation.
Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and training plans for telecommunication systems.
Manage complex move/add/change/disconnect requests and user incidents.
Remain current on new products, services, protocols, and standards in support of telecom systems development and equipment procurement.
Assess need for any system optimization or remediation, make recommendations, and execute them as required.
Generate telecommunications usage and inventory reports.
Conduct testing and development of disaster recovery plans to detect faults, minimize malfunctions, and back-up systems.
Interact with technical staff to ensure the safe and proper installation of cabling, wiring, and other telecommunications hardware.
Day to day management of assigned tasks, requests, and incidents.
Provide Level 3 on-call technical support.
Required Skills & Experience
University degree in a related field and/or equivalent work experience.
Cisco Certified CCNP in Voice/Collaboration and/or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience in telecommunications and unified communications operations.
Demonstrated ability and experience with following operational processes and adherence to KPI's and SLA's.
Must be willing to work from office in Miami, FL
