Key is Telecommunications Admin/Engineer with some experience with Sonet, DWDM.

Ability to consultatively articulate complex technical findings to more experienced management in clear, concise, understandable terms Proficient knowledge and understanding in the following key areas: Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations) Hardware Benchmarking (Agile, program managements, network management) Design (compliance, security) Network Engineering (planning, provision) Proficient in more than one specific infrastructure technology Executes against understanding of best practices and JPMC policies
Additional

Skills:
* 5-10 years of experience with Optical Equipment/Telecommunications
  • Extensive telecommunications experience specializing in layer 1 transport and above

  • Intermediate level knowledge and experience with DWDM and SONET systems design and operations

  • Understanding of fiber optics types and characteristics

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Ability to create detailed engineering design documentation

  • Customer focused

  • Ability to function as a team member, but have a proven track record as a self starter

  • High technical knowledge, but possess the ability to communicate in business terms
    HIGHLY DESIRED:* A strong ability to manage project risk is essential* A plus to have TCP/IP, Cisco Router experience, ONS15454, CCNA, CCDP, CCNP* Develop and improve processes to support carrier class networks

We are looking for a Structural Engineer to join our Telecom team in Columbus and Cleveland Ohio. We seek a Structural Engineer with 6 or more years of structural engineering and design experience to join our Telecom team in Columbus and Cleveland Ohio. Experience in telecommunications structural engineering with a working knowledge of structural steel, reinforced concrete is required. The selected candidate will manage a team of engineers performing structural analysis and design work for traditional macro cell towers, tower mounts, small-cell utility structures, and buildings used to support wireless facilities. Candidates should have strong analytical, detailing, communication and interpersonal skills and should be able to develop and maintain good relationships with coworkers, industry peers and clients. Candidate will receive supervision, but will responsible for production and training of junior staff. We are seeking engineers that are able to jump into a project and start working immediately. Required: * Civil Engineering degree with emphasis on structural engineering from an ABET accredited university, Master's degree preferred. * Six years minimum of experience in relevant telecommunications structural design. * Must possess an Professional Engineering License and have the ability to obtain comity in other states. * Industry experience using Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit Structures and Sketchup. * Experience with RISA 3D, tnxTower, or other commercial structural analysis and design packages * Extensive knowledge of TIA-222 Some field work with travel is required. Candidates should be able to lift 50 lbs and be comfortable on ladders.
