Reporting to the Director of Telecare Nursing, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, facilitation and ongoing assessment of the clinical training program of Duly Health and Care's Telecare Nursing team. Working in collaboration with others to ensure a successful onboarding experience, to identify skill gaps and review department workflows regularly to ensure compliance with best practices so that all clinical colleagues are well-supported in their roles and empowered to offer exceptional care.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitation of all Telecare Department training needs
Stay current on advances in medicine and changes to best practice standards
Create lesson plans that accomplish pre-defined organizational goals
Use a variety of teaching methods to include lecture, discussion and practice to teach new candidates in a manner conducive to their individual learning styles
Act as a subject matter expert and resource to all employees
Collaborate with other department trainers as needed
Monitor quality and respond to any deficits in performance
Create training schedules that ensure adequate support for all individuals
Delegation of appropriate work to Training Assistants as needed
Document Creation and Maintenance
Ensure all department training materials are current and reflect best practice
Communicate workflow changes to department in a timely fashion
Onboarding Activities
Work proactively with the training assistants and management team to successfully onboard new staff
Identify, communicate and work to remove any training barriers
Ensure successful transition to the post-training environment
Contribute thoughtfully to all department initiatives
All other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT SCOPE: Oversee a team of up to 12 new hires each training session.
Qualifications
The Experiences You Bring
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
License / Registration / Certification: Active IL RN License
Level of Education: Bachelor's degree preferred
Years of Experience: A minimum of three years in a health care setting, preferably in an outpatient physician primary care practice. Previous training experience in a clinical setting preferred.
FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:
Clear understanding of HIPAA guidelines and IL Nurse Practice Act
Technologically savvy- early adopter of technology; ability to troubleshoot simple IT issues
Working knowledge of EPIC and Microsoft Office applications
