Job Summary:

The Boulder JCC seeks a motivated, enthusiastic, and organized individuals to join our Fall 2019 Intern Cohort. This is an unpaid internship.

This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in nonprofit management, volunteer operations, marketing, program development, adult education or a career in the Jewish community. Interns will participate in activities that mirror the professional activities of their supervisor and be a part of a cohort which will go through an orientation, training, ongoing supervision, and evaluation.

You will have a direct supervisor who will work with you closely to set your own personal goals for your internship experience and help you develop marketable skills for your future. Our internship program also has a coordinator to support all the interns and supervisors.


  • You will be able to enjoy the programming at the Boulder JCC at no or low cost

  • Multiple opportunities for networking and socializing with the intern cohort throughout the semester

  • Leadership development and face time with Senior Leadership Team

Interns will have the opportunity to work with the Boulder Jewish Teen Initiative (BJTI). This department works with teenagers from 8th-12th grade.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Dynamic and experienced working with teens.

  • Strong communication skills

  • Proficiency in Google Apps for Work, Microsoft Office Suite, and Social Media (Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook)

  • Must be available every Tuesday evening from 4-8 PM

Responsibilities The Navigant Research Energy Intern responsibilities will include: * Conducting detailed fact finding, research, and analysis on energy-related technologies * Aiding analysts with syndicated report work * Conducting interviews with industry stakeholders * Communicate thought-provoking and original analytical findings * Producing blog posts on technology trends and new market entrants * Delivering presentations * Contributing to consulting engagements Qualifications * Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Energy, Business, Communication/Journalism, Economics, Policy, Sustainability, or other related fields * Demonstrated interest or proficiency in Energy * Exceptional writing and communication skills * Solid quantitative analysis, ability to create forecasts in Excel using assumptions gleaned from primary research and existing infrastructure databases * Strong secondary research/information discovery and aggregation skills * Good interview skills * Excellent presentation skills and executive presence * Highly developed organization and time management skills Mental/Physical Requirements * Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills * Work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently * Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment to coordinate work * Frequently travels by airplane, train or car as necessary to perform work at another location * Regularly uses close visual acuity and operates computer equipment to prepare and analyze and transmit data * Generally works in an office environment EEO/C&B Statement The company offers competitive compensation packages including an incentive compensation plan, comprehensive medical/dental/life insurance, and 401(k).
