Technology/Teaching Assistant

Brandeis University EDUCATION PROGRAM seeks to hire two part-time technology/teaching assistants to support instructors teaching courses in our graduate Teacher Leadership Program during an intensive 3-week summer session in July. The session runs July 8 - July 25 and the expectation is that the tech/teaching assistant will be on campus from 8:00am - 4:00pm Monday through Thursday and 8:00am - noon on Fridays for the three weeks of the session and also meet several times with the instructors before the session begins. The responsibilities include:

• Managing the instructors' powerpoints before and during the class sessions;

• Organizing materials and supplies;

• Assisting the instructors in the creation and management of small groups;

• Posting materials on LATTE;

• Thought partnering with the instructor around class dynamics;

• Documenting student work and progress through photo and video evidence.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned educator who is comfortable with classroom AV equipment. Familiarity with our Teacher Leadership Program is not required but is an additional asset.
