About this role:
The Technology Support Analyst provides users with support services for corporate standard technology products. He/She provides hardware and software planning, technical advice, and informal training to customers. This position organizes and coordinates activities for installing, deploying, and upgrading software, hardware, and network facilities.
The Technology Support Analyst troubleshoots and restores routine technical service and resolves equipment problems using established processes and procedures. He/She collaborates with I.T. staff to deploy standardized support practices and procedures. This position coordinates implementations and facilitates activities to support programs and projects.
The Technology Support Analyst provides support for applications that support UPS Operations. Incident Management is critical to this role and the ability to marshal a cross-functional team of support staff to resolve production issues will be required.
This position also assists in application setup for new, moving, and Peak sites. They troubleshoot application problems within established procedures and recommend process improvements. This individual will communicate regularly with field personnel, corporate support groups, and application development teams, building working relationships with them. Responsibilities include deployment support, installation validation testing, working with both Defect Reports and HDFS Cases, attempting to diagnose and resolve problems, and, if necessary, escalating the problem to the appropriate level of expertise.
3+ years of experience with testing, deploying, and troubleshooting Windows applications in multi-tier environments
Experience with Microsoft office, Technical Knowledge of Hardware & Software, Windows Operating System
Understanding of the system development lifecycle (ALM), testing methodologies as well as good troubleshooting and analytical capabilities
Candidate must have very good technical, planning, organizational, decision making, and problem solving skills
On-call, on-site night/weekend support is required based on business need
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field, and/or Master's degree
Experience with LOE, PFT and Hub Automation
