JOB TITLE: Technology Summer Intern
REPORT TO: Technology Director
SUMMARY:
Works directly with all members of the Technology Team to assist in the cleaning, movement, replacement, configuration, and minor troubleshooting of all classroom technology. Exact duties and responsibilities will vary with each project the Technology Team accomplishes. This is a temporary summer position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work; valid Idaho Driver's License; must be at least 16 years of age or older by the time summer work begins.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Delivery, removal and maintenance of PCs and related peripherals.
Load and unload trucks in a warehouse environment.
Unbox, configure, and setup desktop computers, printers, and associated peripherals.
Clean computer equipment and peripherals.
Move, assemble, disassemble, and clean computer furniture.
Hardware upgrades including replacing computer components such as hard drives, memory and video cards.
Take apart and put back devices and power cords in laptop carts;
Image computers.
Electronic filing and data entry in document management systems;
Update site inventory.
Interacts with students, parents and staff in a positive, friendly and encouraging manner.
Acts ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment.
Knows and follows school policy and chain of command.
Will, with the supervising teacher, develop, maintain and document a professional growth plan in accordance with the State Department of Education Standard Based Principles.
Performs such duties as assigned by the supervisor.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Temporary hourly position; regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
All non-certificated staff not under contract are under "at will employment". Their positions shall be considered in all respects "employment at will" and the employee is subject to discharge by the district at any time without cause. The "employment period" and other descriptions and terms set forth in their job descriptions shall not create a property right in the employee and such are set forth only to advise the employee of when and what type of services will be required by the district so long as employment continues.
