Position Information
Winthrop Position Title Technology Services Office (TSO) Asst - FY25 Job Purpose
Acts as general assistant in the TSO in service to university constituents who seek assistance with the technology supported by Winthrop University either through calls or in-person.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties will vary based on individual skills and experience. Actual assignment may include a combination of:
Processing requests for Winthrop ID cards
Processing Scantron requests (printing or scoring)
Creating login accounts.
Assisting clients with tier 1 support for accounts and supported devices
Accurately logging all TSO tickets using the defined tracking system.
Monitoring tracking system for critical response issues and routing accordingly.
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Good problem solving skills.
Ability to work with or without direct supervision.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications for support, reporting, and documentation.
Previous customer service experience strongly desired.
Professional demeanor.
Ability to handle a dynamic work environment; remain productive during slow times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations.
