A Day in the Life

The IT Recruiter partners with the Business Development Team to identify/screen/qualify candidates for IT positions ranging from Help Desk Support and Application Development to Network Engineering, CIOs, CTOs, and more. Duties include:

  • Source, screen, interview, and evaluate candidates primarily for clients located in the Greater Pittsburgh area.
  • Foster long-term relationships with candidates
  • Review and understand technical job requirement requirements and technical skills.
  • Reviews, reformats and presents resumes to meet client expectations
  • Develop strategies designed to qualify candidates through various tools or network.
  • Negotiate pay rates with consultants based on position requirements
  • Meet with candidates in person, telephone, or video conference to assess qualifications.
  • Work with Sales team to help drive the delivery strategy for your candidates.

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience in IT recruiting, staffing, and/or related sales experience.

Summary: Located at our corporate office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the Talent Acquisition Recruiter is responsible for full life-cycle recruitment of all corporate positions and will also coordinate and manage a key strategic hiring initiative at ATI, our entry level Early Career Leadership Program (ECLP) for Engineers. In this role, you will also be responsible for assisting in the development and coordination of additional intern or rotation programs for entry level talent. A successful Talent Acquisition Recruiter understands the marketplace, trends, and best practices related to the entire scope of talent acquisition, including branding, sourcing, talent pipelining, assessment, candidate selection and the candidate experience. The Recruiter applies this extensive knowledge and the ability to learn functional areas of the business to effectively develop sourcing strategies, execute those strategies, and effectively screen candidates to ensure a strong candidate pool and a strong quality of hire. This ability and knowledge is used to build strong relationships with hiring managers and becoming a trusted business partner for talent acquisition. Our Early Career Leadership Program (ECLP) is designed to accelerate participants' professional development through a variety of business-critical assignments and development opportunities. Leading and coordinating this program requires a strong ability to build relationships with our businesses and with colleges/universities to appropriately brand ATI on campus and develop pipelines. Additional Responsibilities * Lead the requisition strategy or "intake" session with hiring managers to understand the position, major objectives, how the position impacts ATI, experience requirements, etc. * Develops a sourcing strategy for recruitment outreach and passive candidate sourcing through various avenues including LinkedIn, social media, job boards, and through the Applicant Tracking system. * Develop and maintain professional relationships with hiring managers, HR and interview teams * Provide excellent customer service and conduct frequent meetings with hiring managers to discuss candidates, the process, and driving the progress of assigned requisitions. * Drive consistency in the recruitment and interview process to ensure a fair, consistent assessment and selection process * Provide an excellent level of customer service to candidates to ensure a strong candidate experience. * Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal employment laws including EEO and OFCCP. * Coordinate with ATI's businesses on identifying the business need for an ECLP program member and aligning ECLP rotation assignments accordingly. * Manage all ECLP administration and coordination for attending campus career fairs and information sessions, scheduling travel and ensuring a strong candidate experience and employer brand on campus. * Provide HR oversight and conduct bi-monthly meetings with ECLP employees to discuss their current role, expectations, and potential future rotations. * Coordinate our annual ECLP Assessment Center interview process that includes identifying ATI employees/program assessors, coordination of Assessor training, interview agendas, evaluation and selection criteria, etc. * Other tasks and assignments related to talent acquisition and program coordination.
