Technology Public Relations Manager

The Technology Public Relations Manager works with senior leadership and partners throughout the Equifax Technology and Security teams to drive external visibility for patented Equifax innovation, Security leadership and the company's global Cloud transformation. This individual will create and implement communications plans, distribute timely Newsroom and Press Release content, oversee executive speaking engagements and work closely with Technology and Security-focused media.

As part of the Equifax Corporate Communications team, this role reports to the Public Relations Leader. It offers the flexibility to work remotely two days a week as well as In-office 3 days a week from our state-of-the-art global Headquarters located in Midtown.

What You'll Do:

• Engage directly with senior Technology and Security leaders and provide critical external communications support, managing communications efforts across earned and owned channels.

• Develop concise written communications in the form of Newsroom stories, OpEds, social posts and other media-facing materials.

• Serve as a media contact for Equifax innovation, supporting the profiles of Technology and Security Leaders.

• Support Technology and Security speaking engagements (both in-person and pre-recorded/virtual).

• Drive communications effectiveness and consistency in messaging and processes.

• Work collaboratively across our global Communications and Marketing teams to support projects and initiatives with Technology and Security content.

What Experience You Need:

• 5-7 years of external communications experience, including experience at a technology company, financial-services firm, or a PR agency focused on financial services and/or B2B technology clients.

• Experience or demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team based environment within a heavily matrixed organization

• Proven ability to communicate deeply technical content and to make that content accessible to non-technical audiences. Experience writing for a variety of audiences, including social media.

• Outstanding media relations capabilities.

• Strong writing skills, knowledge of AP Style, and a deadline driven approach to content creation.

What Could Set You Apart:

• Experience with and strong knowledge of G-Suite

• Experience with social media style-writing is a big plus

• Working at a publicly-traded company is highly preferred
