Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Technology Manager for University Finance and Administration. Reporting to the Director, this primary role oversees a team of technical staff in implementing technology solutions to enhance business operational efficiency and streamline processes.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Implements technical solutions aimed at optimizing operations within Procurement or other finance functions.
Conducts research, experimentation, and technical design and development to deliver scalable and maintainable technology solutions.
Plays a leadership role in technology implementation for process optimization and transformation.
Manages the technology team (full time and students) to develop and support technical solutions in robotic process automation, chatbots, in-house developed applications, and databases.
Leads the analysis, design, development, testing and deployment of robotic process automation BOTs, and in-house developed applications, and databases using Agile framework.
Deploys software and tools for ETL (data extraction, transform and load).
Designs database schema to support SQL database applications.
Designs and develops data monitoring ensuring data integrity between systems.
Acts as the software and tool system administrators ensuring the production environments are secured.
Interacts directly with business stakeholders to discover process optimization and automation opportunities.
Provides technical support to internal project initiatives.
Makes recommendation in Artificial Intelligence (AI) practices to benefit the operations.
Conceptualizes and executes qualitative and quantitative research projects and analyses to help drive technical-based solutions.
Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement
Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or cancellation and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System. Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
BA or BS in Computer Science or other STEM fields such as Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics.
Minimum 3 years of management experience in leading a technology / development team.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the field of application and database development and/or system support.
Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong hands-on experience in RPA, Chatbot, SQL databases and application development life cycle.
Strong knowledge in Procurement and Finance business functions and processes.
Development experience in SharePoint, MS-Form, PowerApps, and ETL tools.
Development experience in Python scription and DiaglogFlow + BigQuery in Google Cloud for Chatbot.
Hands on experience in administrating Google Cloud environments.
Exposure to ERPs Systems such as Oracle, SAP, Ariba, Jaggaer.
Exposure to AI and/or machine learning.
Ability to develop and support multiple RPA Bots and in-house developed applications.
Effective and strong partnership and relationship building skills with key stakeholders.
Analytical and strategic thinker, and highly developed problem-solving skills.
Strong presentation skills; can speak across various forums and communicate to broad, diverse audience.
Agile Framework training.
Preferred Qualifications
Equipment Utilized
Microsoft 365 Office tool set (PowerApps, Power Automate, SharePoint, MS-Form, Flow and others), Oracle, Jaggaer.
Automation Anywhere or UiPath Robotic Process Automation platforms.
