Technology Manager

Where the Chemistry Happens BASF's Catalysts division (Oxidation Catalysts) is seeking a professional like you with a strong blend of technical and consultative skills to identify business and growth opportunities by providing technical and consultative support in partnership with our Commercial Account Managers within our global market. This role will require domestic (international travel based on specific business needs) travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

  • BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success Leveraging your combined education in Chemical Engineering or relevant discipline and professional experience in the field of technical service (chemical catalysts and processes, sound understanding of chemical reactions) you will focus specifically on demonstrating BASF's technical capabilities and value, provide subject matter expertise by engaging in technical dialogue with customers, evaluating customer technical needs and requirements, and provide technical designs and proposals.In this customer facing role your strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills will be essential as you influence decision-makers and technical audiences (e.g. Process Engineers) through demonstration of technical capabilities and the evaluation of customer needs.Utilizing your business segment application knowledge, you will identify new industry trends and provide market/Customer driven ideas for incremental innovations.Your proven ability to identify business/technical opportunities will be a valued asset as you analyze customer performance data and provide recommendations for operation of catalyst operation during the catalyst life cycle, drive digitalization by customer data integration and data analysis.Your robust problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to develop and implement creative solutions to complex problems while working well on a results-driven team, will aid you in understanding industry/market trends and unmet customer needs.Create Your Own Chemistry: What We Offer You
