MAVERICK Technologies is looking to hire a Technology Leader. You will provide technical and leadership support in the application of engineering services, mainly focused on 800xA platform. Involved in the development of growth strategies, training programs, hiring strategies, and efficiency tools. Provide guidance and direction to project teams on technical issues, ensure standards and reuse are being utilized, provide technical quality reviews and corrective action items in order to ensure quality on projects for that platform. Maintain and improve relationships with the OEM. Technology Leaders are partially billable and expected to help lead projects, support consulting efforts, and find additional billability opportunities to meet their goals.

Must Have's:

  • Technical expertise on the ABB 800xA platform. Considered an expert-level resource.

  • Ability to find ways to meet billable targets by working with Operations and Project Managers.

  • Ability to support sales and estimating efforts, including challenging customers with new ideas and techniques.

  • Ability to support training and mentoring within that platform.

  • Support standards development and implementation, reuse, and enforce them across the organization.

  • Provide technical quality control support for all 800xA projects in the organization.

  • Knowledge and ability to support in-house development systems.

  • Relationships and strategic thinking to continually improve our relationship with Siemens.


  • BS in Engineering (EE, ME, ChE) or other technical degree or equivalent experience

  • 9+ years experience in an engineering environment.

  • Expert in the ABB technology platform.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Assist Operational Managers in assessing overall strengths and weaknesses for a specific technology platform or discipline area and develop plans to address gaps needed to meet planned resource demands.

  • Assist Industry Business Leaders with development of business plans where needed.

  • Provide technical assistance to Business Development Managers during customer pursuits.

  • Assist PEG in the estimate cost of equipment and services for project work-scopes around their technological expertise. Ensure compliance to and assist in development of customer technical specifications for proposal work scopes.

  • Maintain a high level of technical competency in current technologies, product offering, and their application.

  • Attend OEM conferences as approved.

  • Support TAG for evaluation of new hires.

  • Lead the development of case studies and white papers for a specific discipline or technology platform.

  • Develop and maintain training programs for their specific technology platform or discipline.

  • Provide training on their specific technology platform or discipline to employees.

  • Support the development of other engineers; Implement and ensure continuous improvement processes.

  • Participate in project kick off meetings to assist with setting technical direction.

  • Technical architect for significant project efforts.

  • Review project deliverables for completeness, adherence to quality standards and meeting functional requirements.

  • Evaluates and selects standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria around a specific technology platform.

  • Provide feedback on the performance of project teams on the use of tools and strategies related to the specific technological platform or discipline.

  • May direct other engineering resources at times for specific projects.

  • Work with lead engineers and project managers to plan engineering and technical approaches to assignments; Analyze and interpret results of assigned projects.

  • Responsible for developing, maintaining, and distributing client and MAVERICK's standards and procedures for specific technology platform or discipline.

We seek a well-rounded individual who is willing to assume management-level responsibilities, be able to work with limited supervision, manage/mentor Quality Engineers and ensure the overall quality of Sales and Service solutions delivery. Candidates for this role should possess sufficient knowledge of the platform as well as data, integration and reporting, capabilities and strategies. To be successful in this role candidates should be organized, consultative, collaborative and strategic. The ideal candidate will have a strong background providing scalable testing of solutions in a B2B environment, and have experience working within or managing a small team in an agile environment. This resource will be tasked with managing the Quality Engineers across business units and/or segments within Cox Automotive. He or she will work closely with the Quality Engineers and the agile Delivery Teams they are members of to assure comprehensive test planning and execution of assigned features and user stories. The ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment while proactively promoting IT standards, business transparency, consistency of execution and an empirical approach to quality engineering is integral to success in this role. Responsibilities: * Mentor other quality engineers by providing best practices and hands on guidance on their work. By helping to dynamically prioritize the testing workload effectively, promoting consistent process and documentation, and ensuring the department IT standards are being followed to improve quality and support business strategy. * Consult with Scrum Masters, Product Delivery Managers and Technology Delivery Managers on their backlogs to provide test planning and execution of enhancements and support requests within designated time and budget constraints. * Own and improve the Quality Engineering discipline. Research, document and implement optimal Quality Engineering processes and best practiced which will improve technical velocity, reduce go live operations, reduce tech debt and ensure scalability. * Support the planning a execution of enhancements for the Sales, Service and Marketing functions in a consistent, best practice manner to ensure continuity of service delivery throughout your assigned business applications portfolio(s). * Proactively uncover opportunities for process optimization and application simplification, by which these opportunities can be implemented across the functional and technology departments. * Exhibit flexibility, collaboration, and transparency in handling multiple competing tasks in a fast-paced IT environment. * Responsible for multiple business stakeholders and their associated work portfolios (projects, enhancements, and support). * Support and coordinate deployment of releases through an increasingly complex set of environments that serve multiple stakeholders across multiple business units and segments * Help coach, mentor and support direct reports to grow in their career at Cox Automotive * Recent hands-on experience in major projects as a Quality Engineer or Delivery Lead * Ability to work in a cross-functional, matrixed team environment within the Enterprise Platforms group as well as other groups within the IT organization. * Ability to rationalize, plan, estimate and schedule tasks or stories and develop or contribute to detailed resource and project plans. * Understanding of Quality Engineering process and software as performed within a Salesforce environment that includes Sales, Service and Marketing Clouds, Einstein Analytics, Mulesoft and Master Data * Solid problem solving skills and strong thought process. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to adapt to change * Experience mentoring and/or leading Quality Engineers * Knowledge of Salesforce delivery and operations best practices and standards including reports, integrations, configurations and custom development * Ability to identify and rationalize the implementation of Quality Engineering process improvements collaboratively with other IT and business functions. * Familiarity with agile delivery processes, artifacts, ceremonies and tools including Rally * Familiarity with QE environment management and data refreshes Preferred skills & experience: * Certifications in Sales, Service and Marketing Clouds * The ability to read and edit Apex code language * Experience consolidating orgs and maturing process to improve delivery effectiveness, reduce costs and achieve scale * Familiarity with SAFe/Enterprise Delivery including Delivery Streams, Release Trains and Delivery Teams * Platform support processes, particularly tier 3, and support tools including ServiceNow * Experience in the Sales, Service and Marketing domain areas * Experience managing diverse teams (i.e., HR direct reports, resources from other teams/indirect reports, contractors, consultants, off-shore resources) * Experience in QE Automation * Experience with Technical Operations including Change and Incident Management * Experience with IT administration including resource planning, procurement, contract management and budgeting Cox Enterprises Atlanta GA
