At AWS, we're searching for a Principal Consultant to join the AWS Global Telecom Practice in the Professional Services (ProServe) organization. This Principal Consultant will engage with customers around the globe and provide deep business and technical expertise to help customer and partners design, architect, and implement transformational 5G and NFV solutions. We are seeking outcome driven and customer obsessed professionals with a balance of deep technical skills, business expertise, who are passionate about:

  • Promoting customer centricity and ensuring focus on creating great customer experiences to achieve competitive advantage

  • Driving business engagement to develop strategies for embedding Digital Transformation and Innovation into customer's journey to the cloud

  • Collaborating across AWS teams to drive and shape solutions that accelerate customer's business outcomes

An ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:

  • Maintaining C-level relationships with clients, stakeholders, boardrooms, and peers becoming the "trusted advisor"

  • Designing and implementing large-scale transformation programs

  • Developing repeatable products and offerings

  • Leading and working in cross-functional teams to evaluate, provide insight and drive strategic outcomes that have the greatest impact on the enterprise

  • Experience working with complex global organizations with proven effectiveness spanning multiple business units

  • Proven ability to translate broad next generation strategies into clear, specific business deliverables and solutions

This is a customer facing role. You be required to travel to client locations to deliver professional services when needed.

You will be working closely with the global partner sponsors for McKinsey Black Network (MBN), and other members of the global ADI team. What You'll Do You will develop, manage, and monitor programs related to the growth, progression, and cultural inclusion of black colleagues. These programs will include both internal McKinsey programs and high visibility events that bring together McKinsey clients, alumni, and other external stakeholders. You will act as the Executive Director of the Black Economic Forum initiative, responsible for leading an integrated set of events, client engagements, and research publications engaging black thought leaders across the private, public, and social sectors. As part of this, you will lead external relationships with senior executives including the Executive Director of the Executive Leadership Council, the Executive Director of the National Society of Black Engineers, and senior client executives. You will develop and execute the global McKinsey Black Network (MBN) strategy to excite, develop, and progress members of our MBN community, partnering with regional Diversity and Inclusion leaders track and report the progress of strategic projects and initiatives (e.g., Allies Program). As part of this, you will develop and deploy the MBN budget with a focus on ensuring high-value allocation of firm resources. You will lead the global network of MBN Champions (black and non-black partners committed to black talent) and be the global face of black advancement at McKinsey. In doing so, you will convene the MBN steering committees consisting of Partners and Senior Partners in priority offices in Brazil, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, the UK, and the US.
