Position: Technology Integration Specialist
Location: Chelmsford Public Schools

Job Description:
The Technology Integration Specialist (TIS) is responsible for assisting teachers with integration of technology into the Chelmsford Public Schools curriculum, and with assisting students with using technology to consume and create content. Since the integration of technology is largely dependent on the proper support and development of staff, the TIS will also be responsible for planning and implementing staff professional development. The TIS will train staff in any new technology initiatives, hardware, software, curriculum tools, as they become available in the district. The TIS also performs regular interaction with any/all curriculum tools to assist staff with the proper use of these programs. The Technology Integration Specialist also assists with scheduling resources (labs/carts/etc.), performs updates/upgrades when applicable, maintains/repairs/troubleshoots all technologies when needed. The TIS will prepare documentation and videos to guide users through the use of various technologies. In addition, the TIS will report out to the Director Of Information Communication and Technology Services status reports about lab/cart use, training/integration schedules, and professional development participation. The TIS also assists with website content gathering and updating and help perform annual Internet safety seminars in coordination with the library staff and technology instructors.

General Scope of Responsibilities
It is the responsibility of the Technology Integration Specialist, under the guidance of the Director of ICTS, to implement and meet technology goals in order to ensure all schools integrate technology into teaching and learning in an equitable manner for all students, and provide meaningful and ongoing professional learning opportunities for staff.

Performance Responsibilities
Assist and guide schools with:

• The planning and delivery of innovative and dynamic technology professional development for staff and instructional programs for students that foster and promote the integration of technology into the Chelmsford Public Schools curriculum.

• The planning and authoring of technology plans that support curriculum development efforts.

• The development and expansion of technology programs to promote a climate that enhances student achievement.

• The planning and offering of staff development workshops to implement technology opportunities for all students and promote
  technology professional development opportunities for all staff using face to face and online methods.

• Assist other technology team members with the installation and deployment of equipment/software as needed. The TIS will be
  assigned helpdesk tickets from time to time in an effort to reduce wait times for staff and improve efficiencies within the
  technology department.

• Support all curriculum tools (apps/online curriculum/books/tools/testing/etc.) as needed.

• Support teachers, students, parents, with technology related questions and issues.

• Attend various technology workshops and conferences which support the TIS and their role within the district.

• To perform such other tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of ICTS.
