Position: Temporary Technology Department Assistant, June 17, 2024 to possibly August 2024
Reports to: Director of Information Technology
Classification: Classified, Non Union Position; FLSA Non-Exempt;
Terms of
Employment: Temporary, non-continuing position approximately June 17, 2024 to possibly August 2024; 8 hours per day; 4 or 5 days per week to be determined. Intent is to be a 40 hour per week position.
Position Summary: Assist Technology Department in various tasks associated in the day to day operations of a school and including technology device transitions. Projects to entail the organization and inventory of existing technology equipment; assist with the receiving of end of year student devices which may include recording, assessing condition of equipment, and preparation for future procurement. Assist in a general capacity within the department as needs arise and as directed.
Temporary position may extend beyond the previous stated projects into July and August to include all aspects of computer preparation for student use. Functions to include but not be limited to: loading software and imaging set up of devices; reset technology devises to transition to other stations/students; record and disseminate devices to students. Qualifications:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Proficient in use of computers and software in order to record inventory, device assignments, email use and other related software applications
Self Motivated, voluntarily engages in activities that serve to support the job tasks.
Ability to interact and serve in a friendly and efficient manner with students and parents.
Attention to detail and necessary skill in order to complete a project/task satisfactorily
Ability to accurately record and document equipment, configure and run reports
Ability and willingness to assist with tasks that support the Departments overall functions.
Knowledge of/experience in using Microsoft and Apple products including iPads, Chromebooks and laptops.
Physical ability to work in confined space, lift and reach over shoulders, kneel, crawl, lift up to 20 lbs regularly and up to 40 pounds with assistance.
