Job Description

JOB TITLE : Technology Chief of Staff

DEPARTMENT : Technology

REPORTS TO : CIO

SUMMARY:

The Technology Chief of Staff, under the direct supervision of the Chief Information Officer, is responsible for providing business management functions in support of the Technology organization with specific focus on predictability in achievement of Technology business goals. To support predictability and accuracy in the achievement of Technology global operations responsibilities also include the reporting oversight function to share insights with Technology leaders and executive management while ensuring communications, in all forms, with executives, end users, and Technology team members are crafted and appropriately marketed. This role is also responsible for managing budget, purchasing and facility operations and crafting policies in conjunction with this domain.

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS

Administration of the CIO Technology department, including but not limited to:

Organizes department meetings, all hands, and Technology events
Manage incoming and outgoing mail
Perform general administrative duties as assigned
Schedule meetings and appointments and manage travel

PURCHASING

Assist in the Purchasing, including but not limited to:

Procurement of hardware and software

Tracking shipments

Purchase order creation
Processing invoices
Assist with asset management
Orders, receives, and maintains office supplies

REPORTING, MARKETING AND PRESENTATION DEVELOPMENT

Implements rebranding and marketing program for Technology
Implements Technology cultural norms and awareness program
Develops reporting programs for all key Technology areas
Develops presentation decks and reports for multiple topics
Implements a reporting cadence and health monitoring for key Technology activities
Implements an early warning process for reporting anomalies

FACILITIES

Manages space and location of personnel
Coordinates the physical movement of furniture, equipment, boxes, and materials as needed
Responds to building, office furniture, and equipment issues
Coordinates repairs of facility including but not limited to painting, patching, carpet etc.

Demonstrated skills with developing Technology reporting and presentations
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Proven organization and planning skills with attention to detail and follow-up skills.
Proven computer skills, including spreadsheet, database, report generation, word processing, and Internet.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential material.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree and two to three years previous experience in a Chief of Staff role with communications and purchasing in Technology or a related field.

VIEW JOBS 10/18/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-16T00:00 The Revenue Cycle Technology Informaticist will serve as an information technology subject matter expert/liaison between Revenue Cycle stakeholders and the Bear Institute (on-site IT team), to assist with business and operational support within our Cerner Millennium Revenue Cycle solution portfolio. Cerner Millennium will be the source system for scheduling and registration workflows, prior authorization, financial counseling, point of service collection, eligibility, health information management/medical records, coding, charge capture for both professional and facility billing, follow-up, customer service, claim generation, denials management, and cash posting. In this position the Informaticist will help manage troubleshooting, data needs, issue resolution, system design and optimization, prioritization of change control/enhancements, and operational/workflow concerns, The Informaticist will serve as an escalation point from the business unit to IT, with an emphasis on implementing and supporting system maintenance and applications necessary to support business, financial, and operational needs of the Revenue Cycle stakeholders. Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree - 8 years of related experience in healthcare IT and/or Revenue Cycle will be considered in place of a Bachelor's Degree. (Required) Minimum Work Experience 5 years of related experience related to Revenue cycle and/or healthcare IT systems is required. (Required) Required Skills/Knowledge * Expertise in Revenue Cycle and/or Information technology systems is required * Knowledge of Cerner clinical and/or revenue cycle applications strongly preferred * Ability to support large scale projects and software deliveries * Ability to work effectively on team projects * Strong analytical, interpersonal , customer service, communication and problem solving skills * Meticulous eye for detail and accuracy * Detail-oriented and excellent written and verbal communication skills * Excellent trouble shooting skills and strong aptitude for translating business needs into technology solutions * Experience with the build, design and testing of Cerner Revenue Cycle solutions Functional Accountabilities 1.
