As a Technology Architect, you will significantly contribute to identifying best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; develop design of application, provide regular support/guidance to project teams on complex coding, issue resolution and execution. You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs. Location for this position is Richardson TX / Colorado Springs CO. This position may require travel and or relocation.

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

  • At least 7 years of experience with Information Technology.


  • At least 7 years of hands on experience in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture and architectural frameworks and implementation of software application.

  • At least 10 years of experience in DB2, Oracle Mainframe Technologies including COBOL, CICS,JCL.

  • At least 7 years of experience in software development life cycle.

  • At least 7 years of experience in Design and architecture review.

  • Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment.

  • Analytical and communication skills.

  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.

The job entails an extensive amount of travel. The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.

Agile experience preferred Responsibilities for this Position GDMS has an immediate opening for a Cyber Architect. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's core defense/intelligence services and systems. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining the System Security Architecture for C2BMC program in accordance with RMF, STIGs, NIST and DoD guidelines. As part of the extended architecture team, this position supports the development of architecture and design elements that meet the security requirements of the program. Documenting lessons learned, best security engineering practices, and industry standards will be required in daily tasks.KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Experience implementing Risk Management Framework (RMF) for Mission Systems. Required * Experience working Cybersecurity requirements definition and assessing risks/impacts to the Enterprise security architecture * Knowledge of information assurance (IA) principles and requirements that are relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation * Knowledge of information security systems engineering principles working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software and specialty engineers to develop solutions using engineering processes and methods * Ability to communicate the desired capabilities to a diverse group of developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users. Experience with Agile development and deployment is desiredPREFERRED DEGREE TYPES AND EXPERIENCE: * Domain knowledge of Command and Control (C2) mission systems, ballistic missile defense or air defense operations is highly required * C2BMC specific domain knowledge is desirable * Ability to analyze high level user needs and systems concepts to represent system architecture in engineering architectural models * Collaborate with system developers and users to select appropriate design solutions or ensure the compatibility of system components * Define appropriate levels of system availability based on critical system functions and ensure system requirements identify appropriate disaster recovery and continuity of operations requirements (e.g., fail-over/alternate site, backup, system recovery/restoration) * Develop information assurance (IA) designs for systems and networks with multilevel security requirements or requirements for the processing of multiple classification levels of data (e.g., UNCLASSIFIED, SECRET, and TOP SECRET) * Document and address organization's information security, information assurance (IA) architecture, and systems security engineering requirements throughout the acquisition lifecycle * Ensure all definition and architecture activities (e.g., system lifecycle support plans, concept of operations, operational procedures, and maintenance training materials) are properly documented and updated as necessary * Ensure that acquired or developed system(s) and architecture(s) are consistent with organization's information assurance (IA) architecture guidelines. Experience with BMDS systems (e.g. GMD, Aegis, Patriot, GCCS, STARS, PDS-M, THAAD) is desirable CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
