Understand and evaluate the technology trends and the changing business/competitor landscape and prepare the organization to be disruptive
Facilitate rapid solutioning through a broad knowledge of available services to define end-to-end architecture to promote a clear and consistent business vision
Work with supporting teams to devise and validate viable solutions
Develop and maintain architectural assets including principles, standards, policies, reference architectures, models, blueprints, roadmaps, frameworks, patterns and services
Collaborate with Technology Translators and Integrators as necessary in proof of concept demonstrations and help scale up proven solutions to meet business needs
Play the role of Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, and Integration Architect depending on the needs of the project and oversee efforts to develop overall architecture approach for all layers of a solution
Work with peers in the business to collaborate on innovative technology initiatives that create business value either through growth opportunities or operational improvements
Collaborate with and serve as a consultant to key business stakeholders and project teams on proposed and alternative architectures to implement efficient and cost-effective solutions
Research, identify, and document new / existing technologies, business models, processes and industry trends
Provide architectural leadership and expertise in the creation of technical solutions to address business needs
Ensure common architecture decisions are implemented consistently across business and IT to support the business and IT strategies
Physical presence in the office/on-site to engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among direct reports and co-workers.
May be assigned an Electric Utilities emergency and storm role. This is a special assignment that comes into play during storms and other emergencies when the company needs to restore power or respond to other issues affecting customer service. This role may necessitate the need to work after-hours, outside of your normal schedule.
