Technology Access Program (TAP) Manager

As the Technology Access Program (TAP) Manager you will Lead and support the TAP Program at Mystic Valley Elder Services to ensure program operations and development, through resource allocation, community engagement, and digital equity advocacy efforts.

Schedule: This is an exempt (35 hour/week) position. We offer 4-day work week and hybrid work schedule (once training is complete.) No nights or weekends.

Key Job Activities:

Key job activities of the position are below. Additional duties may be assigned as required.

  • Lead in supervising, mentoring, training and hiring of TAP Staff and volunteers

  • Identify, develop and implement program guidelines and initiatives to ensure consumer services and emerging community tech needs are met

  • Design, coordinate, and conduct a multi-part Tech Fundamentals Class

  • Engage and initiate new community outreach opportunities; establish and maintain ongoing calendar of events

  • Oversee program data and analytics, tracking outcomes and performance metrics from program records and evaluation surveys, to measure impact and guide direction.

Other Activities:

  • Oversee the curation of consumer education materials including a tech resource handbook, instructional how-to guides, and content social media platforms

  • Support digital equity by advocating for tech-related issues affecting the community, representing MVES in discussions with stakeholders and policymakers

  • Monitor staff retention, turnover, and satisfaction

  • Cross collaboration with all departments for best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of related field experience

  • Experience working in/with Elder Services, Home Care program, Senior Care Options and/or disabilities preferred or a minimum of 2 years of experience in related field

  • 2-5 years of management/supervisory experience in a human service/community-based setting

  • Bilingual preferred

  • Strong analytical, managerial, communication, and leadership skills

  • Project management skills

  • The ability to manage multiple high priority objectives/projects

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels, including staff, board members and external partners

  • Highly resourceful team player, with the ability to work effectively independently or as a team

  • Demonstrates a willingness to take on new tasks with a general attitude that no task is too small, impossible, or cannot be improved

  • Expertise in the following platforms: Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Pro, Zoom and other web-based applications

  • Experience in the areas of common technology including but not limited to:

  • Demonstrated understanding of Technology Security Best Practices, especially as it pertains to internet and email/messaging activities.

  • Proficient in the use of applications including internet browsing, video conferencing, email, and messaging.

  • Knowledgeable in the use of technology hardware including computers, mobile devices, and wireless networking.

  • Private transportation

  • Bi-lingual skills a plus

Physical Requirements of the Job:

  • Ability to lift, push, pull and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds

  • Ability to climb up and down stairs unassisted

  • Ability to travel into the community

  • Work requires regular standing, stooping, and bending
