Your Key Responsibilities

Programming Tasks

  • Creation , modification and testing of machine specific control programs

  • Customize and test control and software solutions

  • Creation of schematics and software design documents (CAD)

  • Evaluation of alternative and replacement solutions for control and electrical components developed in collaboration with the Electrical and Technology groups

  • Creation of interface programs for third party devices

  • Creation of machine learning algorithms

Commissioning of the Programs

  • Ensure and test the full functionality of the machine/software in cooperation with Maintenance, Technology and Production areas

Other

  • Create hardware and/or software cost estimates

  • Connect machines to existing systems and start-up where needed

  • Carry out commissioning and training on new machines/software solution where needed

  • Support Maintenance on high level and programming related issues

  • Performing on call readiness during critical breakdowns

  • Coordination of work processes during the commissioning of the machine/software package

  • Perform service work as required for installation, modification and service of systems

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Technical degree in Electrical Design, Electronics, or Computer Science or equivalent

  • 1 to 3 years preferred

  • Work to gain knowledge of Siemens PLC HMI,, PCU and CNC systems (Step7, TIA portal, 840D PL. 840DSL), Python, C/C++, SQL, ETL tools, OPC, NATS, SAP, GIT, DOCKER tools

  • Knowledge of machine and computer networking and interface practices

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrates persistence, good foresight and strong analytical thinking skills that allow for troubleshooting, overcoming obstacles, and implementing solutions

  • Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance relative to the goals of the system

  • Works well under pressure

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to comfortably communicate and negotiate with all levels of the internal and external customers

  • Capacity to work simultaneously on various projects

  • Will need understanding of the electrical, mechanical, and software engineering (such as Agile and Scrum) principles to create and maintain automated processes

  • Will be involved in reading and modifying electrical control schematics

  • Ability to interpret drawings, diagrams, and machine specifications

  • Familiar with standard concepts,, practices and procedures related to the automation field

  • Will be involve in servo motion controls and inverter systems

  • Conducting tests and inspections of processes and equipment to evaluate quality or performance
