Job Purpose

As an NMC Technician, you can expect to:

  • Complete diagnostics, troubleshooting, and appropriate repairs and rebuilds on Caterpillar equipment in a remote field environment with little to no supervision.

  • Reference and interpret service, parts, and diagnostic software to determine problems/malfunctions and to verify repair specifications and parts needed.

  • Meets time requirement guidelines (TRG) standards. Escalate unresolved issues to Technical Communicators for further research and assistance.

  • Accomplish repair by following parts ordering process, completing service reports, and giving appropriate verbal or written communication in email or service reports.

One of the many groups we serve are high-acuity youth; their needs are often significant, complex, and vary from each youth. DHHS is dedicated to a therapeutic, rehabilitative, and holistic approach to their care, and is in need of Behavioral Technicians to help drive those efforts forward. This position will, under general supervision, provide continuous intensive behavioral modification, trauma-focused interventions, residential care, custody, and supervision of these youth at a 24 hour state facility located in Lincoln, NE. Work schedule: 2nd (2 pm to 10 pm) and 3rd (10 pm to 6 am) shift after training Examples of Work Job Duties: * Direct care for youth with high acuity using trauma-focused interventions. * De-escalation of verbal and physical aggression with inclusion of behavioral modification strategies. * Continuous and intensive interventions to encourage skill building of life and communication skills. * Direct implementation of continuous and intensive treatment plans and therapeutic activities using positive reinforcement strategies. * Monitor and document daily behavior and progress of residents. * Partner with medical providers, including the Board Certified Behavior Analyst, to ensure constant follow through of specific programming, behavioral modification strategies, and treatment plan. Qualifications / Requirements REQUIREMENTS: • Must be at least 21 years of age • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent education. • Related coursework/training experience: behavioral sciences, counseling and guidance, rehabilitation/treatment services, education, nursing/patient care, delinquency prevention, criminal justice, or related area. • Possess a valid Driver's license with the ability to become an authorized vehicle driver for the State of Nebraska. PREFERRED: • Bachelors degree Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of: Knowledge of: principles and practices of group and family systems theory; behavioral prevention and intervention techniques; adolescent growth and development; individual counseling theory and practice; adolescent sexuality; recreational theory and practice; first aid; basic sanitation and personal hygiene; basic counseling and crisis intervention techniques; behavioral prevention and intervention techniques. Skill in: Skill in: organizing and prioritizing one's own work; communicating to relay information to staff, management, industry professionals and family members/guardians; communicating with youth in a way that reinforces feelings of self-worth; listening to and understanding information received; providing learning experiences to enhance insight and growth of youth; being aware of others' actions and reactions; persuading others to change their minds or behaviors; bringing others together to reconcile differences.
