In this role, you have the opportunity to

Assist the Engineers with non-repetitive assignments, and performs tasks that are standard and supervised. Operates relatively autonomous within procedures, methods and techniques. Information on assignments is not always complete and leaves some scope for own interpretation; makes own choice of approach and chooses from known solutions based upon technical knowledge.

You are responsible for:

  • Performs as an experienced Technician to assemble and test equipment.

  • Conducting failure investigations on less complex products and perform the rework and repair.

  • Determining the approach from known solutions based upon technical knowledge.

  • Documenting investigations and rework properly in the SAP Quality Notification system.

  • Effectively communicating with operators, fellow technicians, engineers and supervisors as required

You are a part of

The Philips Sleep & Respiratory Care (SRC) business, which exists to restore natural sleep and breathing. You will be part of the Manufacturing Technologies team in the New Kensington, PA location.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Associates in Electronics or Similar Degree

  • 1+ year electromechanical assembly experience

  • Strong Electro-Mechanical Skills are required to assemble test equipment used in a high volume-manufacturing environment. This can include, but not limited to electrical panel point to point wiring, motors, relays, drivers, air pressure and flow controls.

  • Ability to understand and interpret basic electrical and pneumatic schematic drawings used in equipment assembly and integration.

  • Ability to fabricate using basic power tools and hand tools. This can include, but not limited to Steel Panel Electrical Boxes, aluminum plates and Holding Fixtures.

  • Able to work with direct supervision to complete basic tasks.

  • Coordination with external equipment vendors and parts ordering.

  • Standard office computer skills. Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
