Technician

Major Duties (Job Description) You will apply knowledge of electronic theory, circuit design, and the operating characteristics of more familiar equipment to develop, test, or perform other technical work on electronic equipment. You will manage and perform work by applying knowledge of the capabilities, limitations, operations, design, characteristics, and functional use of a variety of types and models of electronic equipment and systems.

You will complete testing, evaluating data, and determining acceptability of equipment modifications, validity, test procedures and data, or legality of operation. You will support experiments, research, and developmental activities requiring an in-depth knowledge of technical engineering methods, applications, practices, and principles to work on concepts, prototypes, and experimental projects. You will provide technical and programmatic advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and stakeholders on critical issues.

You will undertake and complete complex tasks with multiple dependencies independently, mentor's others regularly, and leads others to accomplish complex goals. Qualification Summary NR-05 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Developing new or modified electronic systems; evaluating the testing and data of equipment modifications, validity, test procedures and data, or legality of operation; conducting research and developmental activities requiring an in-depth knowledge of technical engineering methods; practicing the applications of principles to work on concepts, prototypes, and experimental projects that are without precedent and support state-of-the-art research. NR-04 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
