Corporate Headquarters along with the marketing offices of the Hospital, Outpatient Markets (OPM), Renal Therapies, Vascular Interventional, International, and OEM Divisions. Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc.(CAPS) is also managed from this location. The nearby Allentown, Pennsylvania, facility manufactures Needle-free products, IV Safety Catheters, Anesthesia Systems, Introducers, Pharmacy Admixture products.

Vascular products including Right Heart Catheters and Interventional Accessories are also manufactured in Allentown. The Irvine, California facility produces IV Solutions, Basic and Specialty Nutrition, Drug Delivery, and BTC products. Infusion Pump Systems are manufactured in Carrollton, Texas and IV administration and IV and Irrigation sets are produced in the Dominican Republic.


Position Summary:

A Mold Technician must be able to operate all Injection Molding and related ancillary equipment in a safe and effective manner. They must also understand and perform all related tasks such as part inspection, material handling, and all pertinent documentation.

Essential Duties

  • Must demonstrate ability to work in team environment.

  • Must demonstrate safe working practices.

  • Ability to follow written or verbal instruction.

  • Understand the difference between good/bad parts.

  • Ensure all work areas are kept clean at all times and one molding machine should be cleaned each shift.

  • Understand basic measurement techniques.

  • Be able to safely maneuver forklifts and electric jacks in department.

  • Understand department specific functions

  • Be able to start, purge, and stop all sizes of molding machines under normal and emergency situations.

  • Understand how to properly make travel tickets and inspect any pre-made tickets for accuracy.

  • Provide accurate documentation of all work performed when required.

  • Understand and be able to do tasks related to material handling: (a) use of computer terminal to weigh in and issue out product, (b) verifying accuracy of computer tickets, (c) use of proper totes for all molded parts, (d) Stacking of totes on skids in correct fashion, (e) operation of fork truck

  • Ensure the continued operation of all equipment related to the assigned areas in a safe & efficient manner according to ISO/GMP policies & OSHA regulations.

  • Become familiar with plastic processing and molding machines.

  • Understand Basic Plastic Processing and Molding Machine Theory of Operation.

  • Document Machine parameters and follow set-up sheets acoording to SOP's.

  • Understand SPC principles and apply to equipment tracking in producing quality product.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
