We are looking for an experienced Technician to join our Engineering Robotics Team to support one of top clients in Bay area (Fremont). The person will support lab operation, manage inventory, and communicate with facility team.
This is a full-time, long term benefited position with competitive compensation.
Assist with buildup, repair, and diagnosis of individual units from our robotics platform
Assist with prototyping and "hacks" to support sustaining engineering and R&D
Assist with system configuration, moving units between locations, and setting up test environments
Assist with creating documentation for robot assembly, configuration, and repair
Assume primary management of the robotics lab facility in Fremont, including maintenance, space planning, and fabrication of robot test environment elements
Maintain shop equipment such as drill press, bandsaw, milling machine, sander, brake, etc.
Organize and maintain stock levels of materials and fasteners
Work with facilities as needed for additional buildouts, equipment installation, reconfiguration, etc.
Manage storage organization and waste disposal
Coordinate with logistics to facilitate shipping and receiving
Support team where necessary, including:
Working with CMs
Understanding of product development processes (BOMs, PLM, etc.)
Advanced proficiency using shop tools for fabrication, including manual and power tools for metal fabrication, as well as common fixed tools such as drill press, bandsaw, milling machine, sander, brake, etc.
Experience deploying and maintaining complex electromechanical systems
Ability to learn new applications and systems, quickly
Experience maintaining common metalworking shop tools
Ability to identify and work with multiple contacts within an organization to get tasks accomplished
Experience coordinating with architects, space planners, and engineers on building design and remodeling projects
Linux experience (including drivers and settings for audio and networking)
Technical degree at the Bachelor's level.
