Job Description Summary
Excellent opportunity to join the Repair Operations Center in Oak Creek working in the GoldSeal operations. The GoldSeal team refurbishes and remanufactures digital imaging equipment. This role performs diverse and complex assignments in support of GEHC product development and manufacturing operations. Leads teams and projects. Assignments may include, but are not limited to: responsibility for team performance and execution, lead compliance and quality activities and train other team members, reporting metrics on daily performance.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Interfaces with other departments in the execution of duties to ensure the orderly flow of materials and information
Utilize initiative and independent judgment, to manage daily activities in the manufacturing environment
Anticipate troubleshooting needs and perform complex troubleshooting encompassing multiple variables and unknowns to achieve root cause analysis and problem resolution
Utilize knowledge of manufacturing processes and efficiencies to promote material flow within the operation
Determine and recommend manpower adjustments on a daily basis in response to demand fluctuations
Provide leadership and daily supervision to all technicians within the assigned department, including the evaluation of performance and management of work plans
Work with the management team to lead and deploy training plans as needed
Take ownership for business objectives including, delivery, EHS, productivity, materials, costs, output, cycle time, and quality
Use six sigma tools and lean manufacturing concepts to lead teams and to improve established processes and metrics
Provide technical assistance by phone or in person to customer, field service personnel, or suppliers as needed
Little or no direction is given in execution of job related activities
Comply with EHS regulations and policies
Required Qualifications :
Associates degree or High School Diploma and 9 years experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience with technician role, and at least 1 year of technical leadership experience
Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team of technicians, including delivery of performance feedback and the management of work plans
Demonstrated intuitive and advanced proficiency to logically troubleshoot up to a system level using identifiable problem solving techniques and previous experience
Ability to draw accurate conclusions from test data, malfunctions, or deviations, and assist with corrections to the existing design or process
Proficiency to understand and interpret basic written technical information
Demonstrated ability to work well with limited direction and information
Demonstrated technical leadership ability
Demonstrated high proficiency to interpret, instruct, and explain complex technical information
Demonstrated proficiency to utilize and modify computerized work systems
Desired Characteristics :
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or Technology related fields
Experience diagnosing and repairing Diagnostic Imaging Equipment
